First Fold. Experimenting at the ARM (advanced robotics for manufacturing) Hub at QUT. New work being developed for an exhibition in 2020.

More to come!

I was engaged by UAP to design 11 Rest Stops across the Pilbara region in Western Australia. The shelters and accompanying furniture needed to be modular, durable, adaptable and also celebrate the Indigenous cultures of their locations.

Nine regional artists developed overlay artworks that responded to the brief of shelter and meeting place. These graphics were laser cut into the awnings creating dappled shade pools by day and light pools by night.

In this video I expand on my role in the project.

I have always been interested in traditional materials and methods of making. This artisanal approach influences all aspects of my work; in particular my art practice.

This video documents the creation of Kip and Brand, the label created to take the smaller products of my creation out into the world. The work shown is a series of one off wearable art pieces and accessories showcased at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival in Brisbane, 2012.

Produced by talented photographer Shantanu Starick during his epic Pixeltrade adventure.
